1. No More Plateaus

When you hit a plateau with your results, the natural response would be to have negative thoughts.

One easy way to avoid losing your motivation is - don't worship the scales.

Try not to weigh yourself daily or weekly, just be different and weigh yourself every two weeks. That way, you're not prone to quitting.

Put your attention towards reducing your body fat (not the pounds) and give yourself some healthy tasks that will benefit your fat loss like drinking 1 healthy smoothie a day, increasing the intensity of your workouts or drinking 8 glasses of water .

Look at spinning some positive attitude to your goals by planning smaller, achievable goals every day. Do this and you will give yourself a sense of achievement and momentum. Once you have that momentum, the scales will be such a small thing, and that plateau will be a distant thought.

2. Change you eating habits

Review your eating habits - think twice about what you are putting in your mouth.
 
Plan to eat 6 healthy mini meals a day by controlling your portions- like eating from an entree sized plate only. Although this will take time to adjust to the size, having 6 mini meals a day will stop your cravings.

Lastly, when you're at the supermarket, shop smart and don't bring home the bad foods like donuts and sugary drinks like Coke. Shop for healthy carbs, fiber, low fat meats and protein into your list.

3. Avoid Emotional Eating : If you're eating food for an emotional reason - then you're wrecking your diet.

Find other constructive ways to satisfy that feeling you are after - like a small handful of nuts or any other low fat food.

But if you can avoid it all together, this is far better for your health. Not only will you not ruin your fat loss, it just goes to show that you have the will power and motivation to improve your lifestyle.

Plus just think about the exercising you can skip out of. Better yet -- how the workout you're doing now will lose more body fat.

This may sound simple but for many it isn't - the three tips above are common problems many people face.
